i stumbled onto it in the itchio bundle too.
ive just barely scratched the surface of the site, my internets kind of slow and the response time lags behind. i mean, it might be the site, but im sure my internet and where im at plays a huge part into it too.
uhh
heck whats there even to say about me.
hey im larviform. if you can think of a creative nickname to call me off of that knock yourself out. im 23 and it feels kind of weird to be on a petsite like this, but, i used to play them a lot when i was younger, and idk if anyone noticed but they kind of fell out at some point and im not really sure why. i miss them. also seeing a few other people in their early 20s in this thread makes me feel a little better about it, hahaha
um
anyways to introduce myself i guess
if you were to put me in a box, im like, if a punk rocker, a farmer, and a country hick had a baby..? or something like that
i do lots of weird things in my spare time.
i used to work on a farm, but, atm i kind of do my own odd things for money.
i have backyard chickens, six jersey giants (biggest breed in the world! but theyre still growin. itll be a while til they grow into their name.)
i also have a blind cat, his name is steven. he doesnt have eyes, im his seeing eye person (which is really ironic, i can't see too great myself)
i have a guitar i got at a festival from a sketchy dude and haggled like a hundred off of it, i had to do some work on it to fix it up, it aint great but its pretty nifty now. someone once told me all the dinks and bumps and the imperfections of a guitar give it personality. i think so too...still id like to paint it some day, that ugly old-fashioned green 70s kitchen color
i like to hang up old signs on my wall, license plates, coca cola ads. i think they're neat.
i have a big garden out back and like, am a huge nerd about permaculture and self-sustainment living, its kind of weird i know. im kind of a nerd about plants and nature. its like, free food. nature takes care of you if you take care of it.
im not really much of an artist, i dont think of myself as an artist, but i do make things sometimes to cope, or vent, i dont care if its good or not. someone used to think that was like, a good attribute of mine, but, i dont think so, its hard to ever get good at something if you dont care.
oh, i also love video games. i like like uh, simulations, those sandbox type games like starbound and terraria, i like all sorts of games. the only genre i guess i dont like are like, teamvteam shooting games.
im also a nerd for like, peer2peer networking and stuff. i like using beaker browser a lot
i think thats all there is to really know about me. hi.
im not really a people person, i might seem like, the opposite. but dont worry if you talk to me i wont like, bite you, or anything.
this is lame
this introduction was lame

Heyo! I'm here from the bundle, too. That's really cool you can fix up guitars, people who can do that are powerful idek how one would go about that. Also I don't have any metal signs but I always admire them when I see them. There's a bit out from where I live which has an entire room full of racks of vintage metal signs. I could loiter there for hours. I feel like that's one thing once I started buying I just couldn't stop lol
I'm big into permaculture too (just recently found out there was a word for it though, very glad people feel the way I do about gross monoculture lawns lmao)! I'm not out on my own yet (I'm 18) so I can't quite act on it yet. It's all fantasy landscaping and gardening here. It's neat you live on a farm. Also, what kind of bands are you into?

its not as hard as it sounds, like, not to sound like, pretentious abt it or anything i mean
its just one of those things you just have to dive into by taking it apart and putting it back together again and then youre like, oh, i get it
just, do it with a junky guitar you get secondhand that doesnt work anyway. theyre expensive things to break just for learning purposes i think
i know thats easier said than done, but, i found mine at a garage sale, maybe youll get lucky some day and see one too, you just gotta hunt for them
also i dont know if id really call it a farm, i was kind of joking when calling myself a farmer, it was more like "this is probably the stereotype id be put in if someone saw me and listened to me talk" cuz im like, a ridiculous caricature of a person that wears a leather jacket and high heeled cowboy boots.
its more like a hobbyist farm or an excessive garden, i guess. we mostly just do vegetables and canning and the only animals we have are the chickens for eggs, but we got some fruit trees coming in we planted a few years ago, strawberries, and i just found wild raspberries growing out there too which totally slays
i dont understand why people like, just mow everything down like that. if i did that i wouldnt have wildflowers, or wild raspberries and stuff like that out here. theres batches of goldenrod that grow on the edge of my property that i think is real pretty. theres also a lot of greater burdock which i think is invasive...but i always let one of the plants stay because their leaves get HUGE and its so cool. dont turn me in to the plant police
also as for bands i like uh, idk a whole bunch of random stuff. itd just be easier to share the playlist https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ddseKv5Kae2LCbAFjPqJO?si=VbbWb5k4RkKLMnTU1E6OXw

I'm one of those people who owns a guitar but never really had the initiative to learn guitar. I keep saying I will someday, but honestly music is on a pretty far off backburner right now. I'm trying to do the insurmountably hard task of getting an art portfolio together so i can start making money.
Ah I get you with the farmer thing. Our styles sound similar except I have heeled "combat" boots lol. For our yard my parents agree not to use chemicals on it so we get lots of dandelions in spring and nice patches of clovers right now (which my mom hates lol) but anything large gets mowed down. I'm lucky enough to live by some undeveloped plots of land so we do have wild strawberries and I recently found frost grapes growing (we'll see if I get to them before the birds do). I feel you with the secret love of invasive plants. A lot of the undeveloped land is covered by oxeye daisies this time of year- my absolute favorites but they have a real infamy in some circles.
Ooh ngl I was expecting punk music but we listen to a lot of the same bands. Cavetown, Caravan Palace and Billie Eilish are some of the ones we have in common. You got two of my favorite bands in there too: Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cage the Elephant. I'm obsessed with Cage's Tell Me I'm Pretty album if you've heard that one?
I think I'm more likely to be into alt rock like that but my music taste has been swinging around randomly these days. I went from thrash metal (Megadeth recc) to 30s jazz (Cab Calloway recc) to Streetlight Manifesto and Tally Hall which are all very very different if you've heard of any of them. The latest band I've been into has been Will Wood and the Tapeworms which is a heavy mix of rock and jazz, very unique sound
